FAQ • BX Programmer and USB Chip Programmer
If you have any problem with one of our programmers, please read the following points. If they won't fix the problem please contact us by email to get further help. Please write us the name of your programmer, the complete chip name and a detailed error description.
Prog-Express Software Version
Often problems occurred already at other users before and are already fixed by a Prog-Express software update or a programmer firmware update.
Please check if your Prog-Express version is up to date. You can download the actual Prog-Express version on this page.
Bx Programmer Firmware
After you installed the latest Prog-Express version, you can check the programmer firmware version. Please click onto the flash symbol in Prog-Express to see if a firmware update is possible.
USB Chip Programmer optional external power supply
The USB Chip Programmer has a jack for a power adapter barrel connector. This power adapter is optional, you usually won't need it and it is also not included in the delivery. It can be used to save the accu capacity if you connect the programmer to a laptop for example..
